Resilience
The Foundation Your Governance Program Is Built On — Managed, Monitored, and Always Running.
You cannot govern what you do not control. Infrastructure governance is the foundational layer of the Centience model — providing the visibility, stability, and technical control that cybersecurity governance and AI oversight depend on. Centience manages your computers, networks, cloud environments, endpoints, and disaster recovery systems — fully governed to your specific regulatory requirements. This is not infrastructure monitoring from the outside. We own and operate the environment.

Why Infrastructure First
Infrastructure That Supports Growth — Without Creating Governance Gaps.
- Operational continuity with monitored, resilient systems
- A single managed environment where governance controls can be technically enforced
- Endpoint and cloud governance that scales as your organization grows
- Disaster recovery governance that satisfies regulators and actually works when tested
- The technical foundation that makes every cybersecurity and AI governance layer above it enforceable
- Consolidated infrastructure management — one accountable firm, not a patchwork of vendors
The Infrastructure Governance Program
What Centience Delivers
Governance-Ready Infrastructure
Computers, servers, networks, and cloud environments implemented and operated within your regulatory compliance framework. Every device inventoried, every configuration documented, every change tracked — so the infrastructure layer supports audit readiness, not just uptime.
Continuous Infrastructure Monitoring
Continuous monitoring with automated alerting and performance tracking integrated into your governance reporting. Not siloed in a separate tool nobody reviews — visibility that flows directly into your compliance posture and examination evidence.
Endpoint & Cloud Management
Centralized management of endpoints, cloud environments, and hybrid infrastructure with governance controls and compliance tracking maintained continuously. Every device, every user, every cloud resource — under governance.
Disaster Recovery Governance
Documented disaster recovery procedures, regular testing, and governance oversight — so your business continuity plans meet regulatory expectations and are tested, not just documented. When an examiner asks for your DR plan, it exists and it has been tested.
Co-Management Program
For organizations with internal IT resources, Centience offers co-managed infrastructure governance. We integrate into your existing team structure, manage the governance and compliance layer, and ensure the whole environment meets regulatory standards — without replacing your internal team.
Governance-Aligned Architecture
Infrastructure architecture designed and maintained to support cybersecurity controls, AI governance requirements, and regulatory compliance — not retrofitted after the fact. The foundation everything else runs on.
FAQ
Infrastructure Governance — FAQ
Why does infrastructure sit underneath a governance programme rather than beside it?+
Because most governance controls are enforced at the infrastructure layer. Access review, multi-factor authentication, encryption at rest, log retention and backup verification are all properties of how the environment is configured. A policy that promises them without control of the infrastructure is a description of someone else’s system. That is why we manage the environment rather than advising on it.
We already have an MSP. Does that mean the infrastructure layer is covered?+
Operationally, usually yes. Evidentially, usually not. Most managed service agreements are written around uptime, response time and ticket resolution, none of which produce the artefacts an examiner asks for. The common gap is not that a control is missing but that nobody can show when it was applied, to which systems, and what the exceptions were. If your MSP can produce that, the layer is covered.
What infrastructure evidence do examiners actually ask for?+
In practice: an inventory of systems holding regulated data, proof that access is provisioned and removed on a defined process, evidence that multi-factor authentication is enforced everywhere it is claimed with documented exceptions, backup restoration tested rather than merely scheduled, and log retention long enough to reconstruct an incident. The pattern is consistent — they ask for evidence the control operated over a period, not a screenshot from today.
How does this connect to AI?+
An AI assistant inherits whatever the underlying environment allows. If a user can reach a folder they should not, so can the assistant acting for them, at machine speed and across everything at once. Most AI data exposure we see is not a novel AI problem; it is an existing permissions problem that AI made trivially easy to surface.
Do you replace our existing systems?+
Rarely. Most environments do not need replacing so much as governing — configuration corrected, access rationalised, evidence collection made continuous. Where a component genuinely cannot support the controls a firm needs, we say so and scope the change deliberately rather than folding it into a migration nobody asked for.
Industries We Serve
Centience delivers continuous governance programs for regulated organizations across multiple industries.
Managed infrastructure for HIPAA-regulated clinical environments.
Infrastructure governance for broker-dealers and RIAs.
Reliable infrastructure for mission-critical non-profit operations.
How Data Governance Connects
Your infrastructure is where data lives. Data governance classifies what it holds, controls who accesses it, and enforces how long it must be kept. Without the data layer, infrastructure management satisfies operational requirements — but not regulatory ones.
Data Governance ProgramIf You Need Day-to-Day IT Rather Than Governance
Centience governs the environment and evidences the controls. Organizations that primarily need the environment operated — help desk, endpoint management, cloud administration, disaster recovery — are usually better served by our sister firm Compuwork, which has run managed IT for businesses across New York and Florida since 2005.
